Ask the guest's name → type any part of it (English, Malay, pinyin or table number) →
tap the match → show the guest the card to confirm → point them to the table
(use 📍 On the map if they're unsure where it is).
2 · Guest isn't on the list (walk-in)
First search twice — try the surname alone, try pinyin. If truly not listed:
open 🪑 Seats, pick a table with open seats (prefer the correct side — rose
is Fang/bride, jade is Hong/groom), then + Add walk-in guest. Every usher's
phone updates within seconds, so no one double-fills the seat.
3 · Guest doesn't want their assigned table
Open their place card → ⇄ Move → pick the new table from the open-seats list.
Their record updates for all ushers, marked moved.
Within the same table, seat numbers are only a guide — guests may sit at any
chair; no need to record anything.
4 · "Which tables can take one more?"
🪑 Seats answers this — tables sorted by open seats. The 🗺 map also shows a
small green count on any table with space. If the venue confirms a table can squeeze
extra chairs, open that table and use the + / − capacity control; the open-seat
counts adjust everywhere.
Undo · nothing is ever lost
The original seating list is never modified — every change sits on top of it.
Moved guests always show from T# (their original table); tap ↩ on their row
to send them straight back. Walk-ins can be removed from their table's list.
Coordinator only — erases every walk-in, move and capacity change on all phones at once.
If something looks wrong
Added someone by mistake? Open the table, tap remove on the walk-in row.
Moved the wrong person? Move them back the same way. When in doubt, ask the
coordinator — this app records, it doesn't decide. 🥂
